Played an instrumental role in building The Third Act post-production studios at Digitas. Part of Cannes Lions, Effies, and OMMA award winning teams.

•Created, edited and animated videos for Digitas and its clients in a multi-format, fast-paced environment. Videos and formats included spots, virals, podcasts, webisodes, OLA’s, agency, client and product reels, interviews, agency, B2B, presentations, pitches, focus groups, tutorials, animatics, photomatics, animated client logos, show opening titles, lower thirds, DVD menus.

•Built a music library and a comprehensive database of music industry contacts and publishers for music licensing. Conducted music searches and synch. Recorded voice-over sessions, edited audio, SFX and music.

•Supervised green screen video shoots for website avatars and live action scenes in order to ensure clean and efficient compositing work.

•Conducted compression tests to keep at the cutting edge of compression scheme technologies and made purchase and upgrade recommendations based on new findings to remain competitive within the industry. Researched, tested and recommended software and third party plug-ins packages in order to undertake higher-end projects that might otherwise have gone out of house.

•Participated in kick-off meetings to more effectively help teams strategize creative and technical post-production workflows.

•Cablevision/MetroTV: Avid editing of daily 30-minute TV shows covering the best of New York City, similar to NYCTV shows.

•Atelier Design Group: Concepted, edited and compressed videos for marketing events for online publishing.

•Edited a film trailer of Black Hawk Down for Sgt. Matt Eversmann, the film’s subject, to introduce his conference speeches.

•Jungle Interactive: Translated “how-to” video scenes into print storyboards for various magazine articles. Handled all tech and format translation responsibilities for video and print.

Selected by Apple Computer for some of the clients to act as Consultant and Lead Editor to help launch post-production studios training producers and editors in basic, intermediate and advanced Final Cut Pro editing techniques. Instructed broadcast engineers and operations managers in the integration of Final Cut Pro in their workflow. Managed software and hardware, including Kona video card. Assured group’s fast adaptation to production schedules and retention of Final Cut Pro as chosen editing system.

IndiePlanet.com (Urban Box Office), New York. Web Content Producer/Creative Director 1999-2000

Developed the Motion Channel by generating weekly site content with themes, article subjects and profiles of people working within the motion disciplines, such as athletes, professional dancers, martial artists, circus performers, aerialists, etc.

•Produced and edited videos of those profiled and of online workshops of their professional activity, and in that process becoming one of the first editors in New York City to test and adopt Final Cut Pro in its Beta version.

•Conducted research and on-camera interview of featured subjects.
